ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine Field Hockey's Libby Riedl was named by America East as this week's Rookie and Player of the week.
Riedl helped Maine to a 2-0 record this week, including knocking off no. 6 ranked Albany 6-2 on Friday. In that game she totalled one goal and two assists.
Against Vermont on Oct. 11 she had one goal which brought her week total to two goals and two assists.
It's the second week in a row that Riedl is named America East Rookie of the week and the fifth week in a row that a Black Bear has received the honor.
Maine returns to action tomorrow Oct. 13 against Dartmouth at 3:00 p.m.
