Peter Tirabassi (Lewiston, Maine) of the men's swimming team had
an outstanding performance at the Wheaton Invite, qualifying for
the ECAC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. He won the
100-yard breaststroke in 1:00.60 and touched first in the 200-yard
breaststroke in 2:13.34. In addition, he was part of Maine's
first-place 200-yard medley relay team with a time of 1:37.57. He
captured fifth in the 200-yard IM in 2:03.03.
The University of Maine is celebrating
