Orono, Maine – The University of Maine baseball program picked up their second win of the weekend against UAlbany on Friday Afternoon.

Scoring Plays:
Juju Stevens got the Black Bears on the board in the third inning as he hit his 14
th home run of the season, a grand slam to left field.
Quinn Murphy (E3),
Chris Bear (BB) and
Nic Pepe (BB) scored on the play.
Troy Carpenter tied Stevens for the conference lead in home runs two batters later as he hit a solo home run to left field, his 14
th of the season.
Hunter St. Denis put the Black Bears back in front in the seventh inning as he hit a double to left field, scoring
Juju Stevens (BB/WP).
Carpenter drove in his second run of the day on a single up the middle, scoring St. Denis (2B).
Pitching Breakdown:
Vaun Larisa went four and 2/3 innings in the start, allowing three runs on six hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
Owen Wheeler went a 1/3 on an inning as the first reliever, walking two batters.
Gianni Gambardella went an inning and 2/3, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks.
Pierce Friedman (3-1) picked up the win in relief as he pitched the final two and 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits, a walk and three strikeouts.
