Orono, Maine – The University of Maine baseball program dropped the final game of the series against UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon.
First Pitch – Noon – 5-4 UMass Lowell
Scoring Plays:
Quinn Murphy got the Black Bears on the board in the fifth inning as he hit an RBI single to right field, scoring
Shane Andrus (1B/E1).
Nic Pepe put the Black Bears in front on a sac fly in the same frame, scoring
Albert De La Rosa (1B) before Murphy (1B) scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-1 Maine.
Hunter St. Denis hit his ninth home run of the season in the sixth inning, a solo shot to deep left field.
Pitching Breakdown:
Thomas Stabley got the start in the series finale, turning in his first collegiate quality start as he went six and 1/3, allowing three runs on five hits, one walk and one strikeout.
Owen Wheeler pitched an inning and 2/3 out of the bullpen, retiring all five batters he faced and striking out two batters.
Sebastian Holt (1-2) allowed a pair of runs in the ninth inning on a pair of hits.

The Black Bears (17-30) host Merrimack on Tuesday, May 12 for their final non-conference game of the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 2 PM.
