Worcester, Massachusetts – The University of Maine track and field program competed in the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational hosted by Holy Cross on Saturday April 18
th. The Black Bears finished in 5
th place with a total of 29 points.

Athena Cusson was the only Maine athlete to compete in the Shot Put, finishing 9
th overall with a distance of 9.59m (31' 5.75").
In the Discus,
Sabine Sites finished 7
th overall with a distance of 37.68m (123' 7") and
Riley Gavigan finished 11
thoverall with a distance of 30.56m (100' 3").
In the Hammer Throw,
Ava Zollars finished 4
th overall with a distance of 44.56m (146' 2"),
Sabine Sites finished 6
thoverall with a distance of 41.77m (137') and
Riley Gavigan finished 11
th overall with a distance of 34.37m (112' 9").
Ava Zollars was the only Maine athlete to compete in the Javelin, finishing 7
th overall with a distance of 24.59m (80' 8").
The Black Bears are back in action starting on Thursday April 23rd as they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Relays.
