Orono, Maine -- The America East Conference announced on Monday morning that Ace Flagg of the University of Maine men's basketball team has been named the Rookie of the Week for the conference.

Flagg, a freshmen out of Newport, Maine, turned in a career-best performance against UAlbany last Thursday as he had 22 points on 8-for-9 shooting from the floor, a career-best four three-pointers, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. He followed up the performance with 12 points, three assists and three steals against Binghamton on Saturday to average 17 PPG on the week.
