Rock Hill, S.C. – The University of Maine baseball program fell at Winthrop in the second game of the weekend series on Saturday afternoon, 7-2.

Scoring Plays:
Troy Carpenter got the Black Bears on the board in the fourth inning as he hit a two-run double to right center, bringing home both
Juju Stevens (2B) and
Albert De La Rosa (1B).
Pitching Breakdown:
Jason Krieger (0-3) went five and 1/3 innings in the start, allowing five runs on six hits, one walk and one strikeout.
Owen Wheeler was called to the mound in the sixth frame and recorded only one out, allowing one hit and one walk.
Jack Donlin took over on the mound and went an inning and 1/3, allowing two runs on one hit, three walks and striking out one.
Marshall Loch pitched the eighth inning for Maine, retiring all three batters he faced in the frame.
