ORONO, Maine - The Maine women's was shut out by the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday at Alfond Arena, 3 to 0.
After a scoreless 40 minutes, the Wildcats found the back of the net three times in the third period to seal the win. The first goal came around the four and a half minute mark into the third period. Eight minutes later, UNH scored again on a short-handed opportunity. With under three minutes to go, Maine pulled the goalie for an extra skater, but UNH found the back of the empty net for a third goal.
