Boston, Massachusetts – The Maine women's hockey program fell to Boston College 5-4 in overtime on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum.
Boston College got the game started with a goal with 17:13 remaining in the 1
st period.
Maine would respond on a
Mackenzie Podewell power play goal for her 6
th goal of the season and 2
nd goal on the weekend.
Ava Stevenson and Raegen Wrum would tally assists on the play.
Boston College would tally two more goals in the frame, one in even strength with 8:06 remaining and one on the power play with 5:17 remaining.
Maine would tally the opening goal of the second period as freshman
Isabelle Michaud would score her 7
th goal of the season on the power play.
Ava Stevenson and
Mackenzie Podewell would capture assists on the play.
Boston College would once again respond with a goal with 4:26 remaining in the period.
Ava Stevenson would get credit for Maine's 3
rd power play goal of the contest as the puck was deflected in off of a Boston College stick.
Lily Fetch would tie the game on the Boston College doorstep for her 5
th goal of the season.
Lulu Rucinski and
Ali Altiman would capture assists on the play.
Boston College's Sam Taber would win it in overtime for the Eagles on the power play.
