
Football Announces Promotional Schedule for 2025 Season

Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football program announced its promotional schedule for the 2025 season on Tuesday afternoon.
The Black Bears kickoff of the season with two-straight road games before returning to Orono on Saturday, Sept. 13 against Stonehill College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. as the Black Bears will hold their Student Appreciation Night and their annual "Running of the Bears" event prior to kickoff. All giveaways on that night will be tailored towards students in attendance.
On Saturday, Sept. 27 the Black Bears will play host to North Carolina A&T State University on Family & Friends Weekend in Orono. It will also be Cub Club Day where all Cub Club members will receive one free ticket and parents can purchase a discounted ticket. Maine will host Elon on Homecoming Weekend, presented by Bangor Savings Bank, in Orono on Saturday, Oct. 25. That game will also be the Breast Cancer Awareness game. All fans are asked to wear pink in support of "Cancer Warriors" across the state of Maine and the country.
Maine starts out the final month of the regular season with a home matchup against Stony Brook on Saturday, Nov. 1. Maine will be holding two promotions that afternoon with Military Appreciation Day, presented by General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, and Fan Appreciation Day. All Military members are entitled to free tickets by contacting the Black Bear Ticket Office and there are plenty of giveaways during the game that all fans in attendance have a chance to win.
The Black Bears conclude the home portion of the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 15 against the University of Rhode Island. Maine will be holding their Senior Day Ceremony pregame.
