Orono, ME - The America East Conference announced on Tuesday morning that the University of Maine swept the weekly conference awards, winning Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors.

Brody Rasmussen, a native of Boise, ID, takes home his first Player of the Week honor as he hit .545 with a .727 SLG % in a weekend sweep of UAlbany. He scored 7 runs, had 6 hits, 4 RBIs and a triple while batting second in all three games.

Gianni Gambardella, a native of West Haven, CT, was nearly perfect on Sunday as he earns his first Pitcher of the Week award. He allowed just 1 hit in 6 innings in the 12-1 victory over the Great Danes, walking no one and striking out 4. 

Evan Menzel, a native of Coventry, CT, continued his hot hitting as he earned his first weekly award of the season as he was named the Rookie of the Week. He hit .455 with a .538 OBP, driving in 3 runs and scoring 3 runs. He also hit a pair of doubles in the 3-2 victory on Friday.
