ORONO, Maine -- For the 11th consecutive season, the No. 4 seeded Black Bears (15-15, 9-7 AE) have advanced to the America East semifinals and will face No. 1 UAlbany (25-5, 14-2) for the ninth time in the postseason when the two clash on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Broadview Center.
Maine and UAlbany are deadlocked at 4-4 in postseason head-to-head match-ups. Maine is looking for its 23rd appearance in the league championship and ninth in the past 10 seasons.

Asta Blauenfeldt poured in 22 points to lead the No. 4 seed University of Maine women's basketball team to a 65-51 America East quarterfinal victory over No. 5 NJIT on Thursday evening at Skip Chappelle Court.
The win advances Maine to the semifinal round for the 11th consecutive season as the Black Bears will travel to take on No. 1 UAlbany on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Blauenfeldt, who finished 9-of-14 from the floor with three triples, added a career-high matching nine rebounds to go along with two assists and a pair of steals in the win.
Caroline Bornemann stretched her double-figure scoring streak to four in a row with 15 points, five rebounds, and a career-best seven assists.
Sera Hodgson added 11 points with a trio of triples and two free throws.
Maine, which outscored NJIT 27-16 in the fourth quarter on 10-of-16 shooting, finished the night 24-for-55 from the floor (43.6) with 10 triples.
The Black Bears led by as many as 15 in the contest and held the advantage for 39:08 of the ballgame.
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine, winners of four-straight postseason conference games, appears in its 28th semifinal contest.
Caroline Bornemann, an America East All-Conference First Team selection, leads the Black Bears with double-figure scoring in 18 games this season including each of her last four, averaging 11.3 points per game over the stretch. Bornemann ranks fifth among conference leaders in scoring (12.3) and second in rebounding at 7.8 per game. Bornemann boasts the fifth-best field goal mark (44.8) in the league and ranks 10th in assists (2.5). She has posted seven double-doubles this season and currently ranks 19th on Maine's all-time scoring list and 11th on the all-time rebounds list.
Caroline Dotsey, voted the league's sixth player of the year, ranks 11th in the league in scoring at 10.0 points per game. Dotsey has posted 14 double-figure scoring performances this season.
Paula Gallego, an America East Third Team All-Conference selection, sets the table for Maine, ranking second in America East in assists (3.6) and assist/turnover ratio (1.6).
Olivia Rockwood, who ranks fifth in three-pointers made all-time at Maine, is fourth in the league with 1.7 triples per game this season.
Asta Blauenfeldt, with double-figures in each of her last four while averaging 20.0 points per game in her last three outings, ranks among the top-20 in four categories including scoring (15th-9.7), 3-point field goals made (8th-1.4), assists (9th-2.5), and steals per game (6th-1.6). The Black Bears continue to set the pace from downtown where they've hit 10 or more triples in each of their last four outings and rank first in the league and 32nd in the country at 8.2 triples made per game. In conference play, Maine finished the regular season ranked fourth best in scoring (57.9) and third in scoring defense (56.0).
A LOOK AT UALBANY:
The Great Danes, riding a six-game win streak after a quarterfinal victory of New Hampshire, are undefeated (15-0) at home this season. UAlbany boasts the seventh ranked scoring defense in the country, allowing just 53.3 points per game to its opposition and lead the America East in scoring at 64.6 per outing. The Great Danes also lead the America East in three-point percentage (33.7) and three-point percentage defense (26.2) and top the league with 16.7 turnovers forced per game. Kayla Cooper, the America East Player of the Year, leads the Great Danes in scoring (17.3) and rebounding (6.7) with a 55.7 percent mark from th floor. Kaci Donovan is adding 11.5 points while Lilly Phillips is averaging 9.2 points and team-high 37.6 clip from three-point range.
SERIES WITH UALBANY:
Maine and UAlbany will square off for the 58th time in history, including eight post season meetings. The Great Danes swept the regular season meetings this year, winning 60-55 on their home court before taking a 56-40 decision in the most recent meeting in Orono. Dotsey posted 14 points to lead Maine in the most recent meeting while Bornemann and Hodgson each notched 16, with Blauenfeldt adding 15, in the loss at UAlbany. The Black Bears have won 13 of the last 19 meetings. Maine holds a 32-25 edge in the all-time series. Maine is 18-16 on the road against UAlbany.
POSTSEASON WITH UALBANY:
Maine is 4-4 all-time in postseason play against the Great Danes. UAlbany has won two-straight postseason games in the series, at 72-64 semifinal victory in 2023 and a 56-47 championship victory in 2022. Maine's last postseason victory over UAlbany came in the 2021 semifinals, a 67-47 triumph. Maine is 3-1 all-time in the semifinals against UAlbany and 23-4 all-time in the semifinal round. Maine is looking for its 23rd trip to the league championship and ninth in the past 10 seasons.
