Black Bears falls to Nittany Lions in NCAA Tournament

Maine ends the season at 24-8-6.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The University of Maine men's ice hockey team fell to Penn State, 5-1, on Friday night in the NCAA Tournament Allentown Regional semifinal at the PPL Center.
 
Maine ends the season at 24-8-6, the most wins in a single season since 2005-06.
 
The Black Bears took a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest when a Bodie Nobes shot popped up and over net-front traffic. The Nittany Lions, though, responded a minute later and then put in two more before the first break. Penn State would add one more in the second period and an empty-net goal in the third period for the 5-1 final.
