Maine sets multiple records, finish 4th at America East Championships

Boston, MA - The University of Maine Track and Field program competed in the America East Indoor Championships on Saturday Feb 22 and Sunday Feb 23 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center. The Black Bears finished in 4th place with a total of 96.50 points.

Day 1 Results:

Weight Throw:
Colby Largay finished 16th with a distance of 14.56m (47' 9.25").

Long Jump:
Will Rush finished 6th with a distance of 6.91m (22' 8").
Billy Albertson finished 9th with a distance of 6.79m (22' 3.5").
Conor Morin finished 15th with a distance of 6.59m (21' 7.5").

Pole Vault:
Thomas McCormack finished 5th with a height of 4.58m (15' 0.25").
Evan Russo finished 11th with a height of 4.28m (14' 0.5").

5000m:
Luke Marsanskis finished 2nd with a time 14:10.73, being named an All Conference member.
Charlie Collins finished 4th with a time of 14:11.47.

Distance Medley Relay:
Kaleb Colson, Andrew Munroe, Reid Wheatly and Jared Fortenberry finished 7th with a time of 10:08.90 which was the 3rd best time in program history.

Day 2 Results:

High Jump:
Conor Morin finished 9th with a height of 1.86m (6' 1.25").

Shot Put:
Ian Randall finished 17th with a distance of 12.62m (41' 5").

Triple Jump:
Will Rush finished 3rd with a distance of 14.58m (47' 10"), being named an All Conference member.
Conor Morin finished 4th with a distance of 14.55m (47' 9").

Mile:
Ned Farrington finished 3rd with a time of 4:06.24, being named an All Conference member.
Luke Marsanskis finished 8th with a time of 4:12.62.

60m Hurdles:
Eamon Sweeney finished 2nd with a time of 8.15, being named an All Conference member.

400m:
Andrew Card finished 2nd with a time 47.19, setting a new program record and an All Conference member.
Conner Michaud finished 3rd with a time of 48.11, being named an All Conference member.

500m:
Myles Gay finished 2nd with a time of 1:03.33, being named an All Conference member.

800m:
Kaleb Colson finished 8th with a time of 1:52.61.
Jacob Robinson-Smey finished 13th with a time of 

1000m:
Eli Palmer finished 20th with a time of 2:37.22.

3000m:
Charlie Collins finished 5th with a time of 8:15.85.
Luke Marsanskis finished 7th with a time of 8:20.82.

4x800:
Jacob Robinson-Smey, Kaleb Colson, Jack Burns and Eli Palmer finished 8th with a time of 8:20.72.

4x400:
Andrew Card, Nolan Feyler, Conner Michaud and Myles Gay finished 2nd with a time of 3:12.96, setting a new program record.

Heptathlon:
Ben Therriault finished 4th with 4790 points.
