#11/10 Huskies get past #4/5 Black Bears in OT

Albin Boija made a career-high 42 saves in the 3-2 loss.

STORRS, Conn. – The #11/10 University of Connecticut scored with 40 seconds remaining in overtime to top the #4/5 University of Maine men's ice hockey team, 3-2, on Friday night at Toscano Family Ice Forum.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead early in the first period but Maine responded with a power-play tally from Nolan Renwick less than five minutes later. UConn retook the lead at the 4:25 mark of the middle frame before Owen Fowler even things up again with another power-play goal.

While Maine carried possession in the early going of the overtime, Jake Richard scored the game-winning goal with a 4-on-3 power-play for the 3-2 final.
