Worcester, Mass. - The Maine women's ice hockey team dropped Saturday's contest with Holy Cross, 3 to 1, leading to a weekend split at Hart Center Ice Rink.
The Black Bears scored first when junior forward
Lila Shea tallied her first goal of the season seven minutes into the game. Defenders
Paige Fong and
Brenna Curl earned assists. Just 40 seconds later, the Crusaders tied the game up to take away Maine's lead.
Holy Cross added two more goals in the second period, one being on the powerplay. After a scoreless third frame, the Crusaders won 3 to 1.
