ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team upset the nationally ranked #8 Colgate Raiders on Saturday, 2 to 1, at Alfond Arena.
Despite the Raiders scoring 27 seconds into the game, Maine came back to beat the Raiders, notching two goals in the second period.
Raegan Wurm opened the scoring for Maine on an unassisted play to tie the game up in the second period. Just over a minute later,
Isabelle Michaud assisted
Lily Fetch's game-winning goal.
Netminder
Kiia Lahtinen made 40 saves on 41 shots faced (.976 save %) to keep the Black Bears alive.
The team put up 34 shots on goal, led by forward
Stephanie Jacob who had six. Maine killed off 5-of-5 penalties successfully as they hold a 95% success rate on the penalty kill.

Fetch's goal accounts for her fourth career game-winning goal and the 12th of her career.
