ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team fell to #8 Colgate University on Friday at Alfond Arena by a score of 5 to 2.
After a scoreless first period, Colgate pulled ahead in the second period scoring three goals. The Raiders added a pair of goals in the final period to seal the win.Â
Rookie defenders Lulu Rucinksi and
Sade Sandilands were the goal scorers for Maine.
Stephanie Jacob had a pair of assists while
Gracie Hanson and
Lulu Rucinski each had one assist.
Goaltender
Kiia Lahtinen made 35 saves on 39 shots faced. The Black Bears put up 23 shots on goal, led by Mikayla Boader who had four.
