HOPKINTON, New Hampshire -- Three members of the University of Maine women's cross country program were named All New England members after the New England Championships on Friday October 10. 

The first member of the Black Bears honored was Helen Shearer. Shearer finished in 2nd place at the New England Championships with a time of 17:28.29. Shearer finished as the fastest runner out of the America East participants at the New England Championships. Ruby Krasnow was also named to the All New England team, finishing 12th overall with a time of 17:56.51. The final Maine representative on the All New England team was Veselja Treacy who finished 13th overall with a time of 17:59.91.

Shearer, Krasnow and Treacy helped Maine capture a 2nd place finish at the New England Championships with 82 points.

The Black Bears are back in action Friday October 31 for the America East Championships.
