ORONO, Maine – The #5/6 University of Maine men's ice hockey team fell to #17 University of Connecticut, 4-2, on Friday night at Alfond Arena.

Joey Muldowney scored the first of his four goals eight minutes into the game on the power play.
Charlie Russell answered for the Black Bears before the break but Muldowney broke the deadlocked 70 seconds into the middle frame.

Nolan Renwick evened the score early in the third period but a Muldowney even-strength goal and an empty-netter gave UConn the 4-2 final.
