Maine erased a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 road win.
BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Maine women's soccer team erased a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win at Vermont on Sunday at Virtue Field. The win moves Maine to 2-0 in America East play.
Vermont scored on a long-distance shot in the 26th minute and then took a 2-0 lead in the 61st minute. But less than two minutes later, Julie Lossius would put Maine on the board when she finished a Tegan Morrison flank service.
Morrison set up the equalizing goal in the 83rd minute, finding Kristina Kelly off a corner kick. Four minutes later, Jordane Pinette stopped a goalkeeper clearance and slotted home the game-winning goal to complete the 3-2 comeback.
