ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team will travel to take on UCF in Orlando in 2028.

The game will take place on Aug. 31, 2028. A kickoff time will be determined at a later date.

Maine, 0-2 all-time against the Knights, and UCF were scheduled to play in Orlando in 2017 but the game was canceled due to Hurricane Irma. In the first meeting in the all-time series, the Black Bears dropped a 28-6 decision in Orono to UCF in 1994. The following season, Maine fell at UCF by a score of 37-17.
