Smithfield, RI - The University of Maine baseball team lost both ends of an afternoon doubleheader against Bryant in extra innings.
Game One - First Pitch: 12:30 P.M. (5-4 Bryant - 8 Innings)
First Inning: Bryant jumped on the board first as they scored two unearned runs on a dropped third strike and error by the Black Bears.
Third Inning: Bryant made it 3-0 as they hit a solo home run to center field.
Seventh Inning: Maine was down to the final frame of the first game as they erased the deficit and took the lead at 4-3 in the top of the frame.
Myles Sargent kicked off the scoring with a double off the left field wall, scoring Colin Plante (2B). Jake Marquez drove in Sargent three batters later with a single to left field.
Maine was down to their final out as Jeremiah Jenkins completed the comeback as he hit a no-doubt two-run home run to right field, scoring Marquez (1B) on the play. The home run was Jenkins eighth of the season.

First Inning: Connor Goodman got the Black Bears on the board early in the second game of the day as he hit an RBI single to left field, scoring Nick White (1B).
Fourth Inning: Bryant plated three runs to take a 3-1 lead.
Fifth Inning: Maine got one run back as Jack Friend (1B) scored on a throwing error.
Sixth Inning: The Black Bears tied up the contest at 3-3 on a sac-fly to center field by Friend, scoring Plante (1B).
Seventh Inning: Gabe Gifford began the frame on the mound for Maine. Jason Krieger turned in his second-straight quality start for Maine as he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts across 6 innings of work.
Eighth Inning: Bryant scored one run in the inning on an infield single, tying the game up at 4-4.
Tenth Inning: For the second-time in two games Bryant walked it off against the Black Bears as they hit an RBI single to left field.
