AMHERST, Mass. – Behind a goal from
Brandon Chabrier and a 15-save shutout from
Albin Boija, the #6/5 University of Maine men's hockey team earned a 1-0 win at #11/11 UMass on Saturday night at the Mullins Center.

Chabrier scored just one minute, 16 seconds into the first period to give Maine the 1-0 lead. UMass appeared to equalize in the second period but a successful challenge overturned the goal due to offsides.

After a three-save first period, Boija made seven saves in the middle frame and closed things out with five more in the third for his first career shutout.

- Maine had the 22-15 lead in shots on goal.
- Maine went 0-for-1 on the power play while keeping UMass to 0-for-3.
