Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team continues its four-game road trip with its second consecutive Big Ten match-up when it meets Purdue on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --
Caroline Dotsey posted a team-high 17 points in Maine's 78-53 loss at Indiana on Sunday afternoon.
Dotsey, who finished the game 7-of-17 from the floor, finished in double-digits for the second consecutive game while adding a career-high seven rebounds in the loss.
Olivia Rockwood added nine points on three triples while
Sera Hodgson added eight points with a perfect 2-of-2 from three-point range.
Maine, which closed with a pair late in the second quarter and trailed 36-28 at the half, was outscored 25-13 in the third quarter as the Hoosiers finished the game 30-for-57 (52.6).
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine, 2-2 on the road this season, is 1-4 in its last four games with the lone win during the stretch being an 87-75 victory back on Nov. 26 at Stonehill. Maine is led by
Caroline Bornemann who has posted double-digit scoring efforts in five of Maine's first eight games with double-doubles in two of her last three. Bornemann currently ranks inside the top-10 among America East leaders in scoring (9th - 11.8), rebounding (3rd - 8.3), and assists (10th - 2.6). Her four double-doubles on the season rank fourth best in the NCAA.
Sarah Talon has featured double-figure scoring in four of eight games thus far and checks in 13th best in the conference in scoring (10.6) with a fourth-ranked field goal percentage mark of 54.0.
Caroline Dotsey has posted double-figure scoring in each of her last two outings, marking her first time scoring in double-digits in back-to-back games in her career. Dotsey is averaging 21.5 points per game in her last two with a 48.4 percent clip from the field over the stretch.
Paula Gallego ranks third in the league at 3.3 assists per game. The Black Bears continue to thrive from the three-point line where they rank second in the league at 7.9 triples per game. Maine also leads the America East with just 15.0 turnovers per game, including a season-low six at Stonehill.

A LOOK AT PURDUE:
The Boilermakers enter play 4-3 on the season and are currently riding a two-game losing skid with losses to Middle Tennessee and #4 South Carolina. Destini Lombard leads Purdue in scoring at 14.3 points, 11th best in the Big Ten, with a team-high 54.8 percent clip from the floor. Her 62.5 percent mark from three-point range checks in third best in the league. Reagan Bass is adding 12.0 points and a team-best 6.6 rebounds.
SERIES WITH PURDUE:
Maine and Purdue meet for the second time in history, and the first since 2016, in Maine's second-ever trip to Purdue. The Black Bears are 1-1 all-time against the Boilermakers, taking the latest meeting by a final of 67-47 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor in the 2016 season opener. The year before (2015), Maine fell 56-33 at Purdue. Maine has lost five-straight to Big Ten opponents with its last Big Ten victory coming in 2016 against the Boilermakers.
