Orono, ME -Â The University of Maine men's basketball program announced that three incoming freshmen have officially signed to join the University of Maine in 2025-26.
The three early signing players are: Bashir N'Galang, Josh Ojuri and Ace Flagg.
"Our program is very excited to welcome our newest signees to the Black Bear family," Head Coach, Chris Markwood states. "First and foremost, these young men possess the traits that we are trying to build our program on, high character, hard working individuals, that have a team first mindset. Basketball wise, all three bring 2-way versatility, toughness, and great upside."
Bashir N'Galang is a native of Montreal, Canada and is currently attending Fort Erie International Academy in Fort Erie, Ontario, the same school that current Black Bear, Jaden Clayton attended. At Montverde Academy, he shot 61.3% from the field and helped them win the 2024 National High School Championship, where they held a perfect 33-0 record. While at Nokomis, Ace helped the team win its first ever State Championship as they defeated Falmouth, 43-27 during his freshman season.
