Albin Boija has been named a Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Co-Goaltender of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league.

This marks the first career weekly honor for Boija, who earned the Co-Goaltender of the Week honor alongside New Hampshire's Jakob Hellsten.

Boija went 1-0-1 over the weekend in Maine's series with Colgate. The Sunsdvall, Sweden native led Hockey East goaltenders on the weekend with his .964 save percentage and 1.06 goals against average while making the second most saves (53).

In Maine's 3-1 win on Friday night, Boija made 30 saves on 31 shots in his second collegiate start for his second collegiate win. On Saturday night, he played 53:59 in the contest, stopping 18 of 19 shots he saw in regulation and five of five shots he saw in overtime of the 4-4 tie. In the shootout, the freshman stopped both of Colgate's attempts.
