Huskies Blank Black Bears on the Road

Maine had its nine-game unbeaten streak snapped in the 2-0 loss.

HARTFORD, Conn. – The UConn Huskies scored twice in the third period to top the #7 University of Maine, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at the XL Center.
 
After the teams played through a scoreless first two periods, the Huskies took just 22 seconds to take a 1-0 lead in the final frame. UConn pushed the lead out to 2-0 just under four minutes later.
 
The Black Bears would pull Albin Boija for an extra attacker but could not get on the board.
