Albany, N.Y. -- The University of Maine women's soccer team remained undefeated on the season (7-0-3) as it went on the road to earn a 3-0 victory at UAlbany on Sunday afternoon.
The Black Bears started the scoring early when
Luise Reinwald tallied her second goal of the season just 11 minutes into the game.
Abby Kraemer beat her defended down the right side of the box before centering a pass to Reinwald who completed the play with a one-timer into the back of the net.
Abby Kraemer joined the scoring with her America East leading ninth goal of the season in the 59th minute. The play developed off a Maine corner kick which was inserted into the box, creating a shot for the Black Bears. The shot was saved by the UAlbany keeper but right to
Kristina Kelly who immediately rifled a pass to the left side of the net right to
Abby Kraemer who tallied the goal.
Maine extended its lead to 3-0 just under six minutes later when
Kayla Kraemer found herself wide open at the center of the net. Kraemer sent a soft shot on net which skidded past the keeper for Maine's third tally of the day.
Kira Kutzinski registered her seventh win in net after making six saves on the day.
The Black Bears return to action on Oct. 1 when they host UMBC at noon.
