Noah Lewis Named America East Pitcher of the Week

Lewis Fired off Six Shutout Frames at NJIT on Sunday

Orono, ME - The America East Conference announced on Monday afternoon that University of Maine baseball starting pitcher, Noah Lewis was named the Pitcher of the Week following his shutout performance at NJIT on Sunday, May 14.

Lewis, a native of South Portland, ME, was nearly untouchable at NJIT. He allowed just two hits and one walk across his six shutout innings of work. He ended with a 0.50 WHIP and four strikeouts as the Black Bears clinched the one-seed for the America East Tournament with the victory.

Maine welcomes Bryant to Orono starting on Thursday, May 18 at 4:00 P.M. The Black Bears will have Senior Day on Friday, May 19. Maine clinches the regular season title outright with one win against Bryant.
