Orono, ME - The University of Maine men's and women's track and field team travel to the Track & Tennis Center in Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 10 and 11 and then travel back to Maine to host the UMaine Invite on Feb. 12.

About the Black Bears
- Maine is coming from the New England Championships where the men placed second with 56 points and the women finished in eighth with 40 points.
- The men finished earning one gold medal, three silver, and one bronze medal winner. On the women's side, they completed the meet with one gold medal and three silver medal place finishers.
- Cole Martin and Mackenzie Wilson each brought back a gold medal for the Black Bears. Martin placed first in the 60m dash with a time of 6.81 and Wilson earned a mark of 18.89m in the weight throw.
- The men's three second place finishes came from Evan Thornton-Sherman, Fisher Macklin, and Eamon Sweeny. Thornton Sherman completed the 3000m with a time of 8:18.50. Macklin came in at 8:18.88 in the 5000m. Lastly, Sweeny earned a 8.15 time in the 60 hurdles.
- The women's three silver medals came from Cheyenne Figueora, Ashley Martinez, and Stella Inman. Figueroa placed right behind Wilson in the weight throw with a mark of 18.63m. In the high jump, Martinez had a mark of 1.65m. To round out the silver medals, Inman completed the shot put with a 12.95m mark.
- The solo bronze medal was earned by Alec Troxell who finished the 3000m with a time of 8:18.88.
