Women Compete in Day One at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational

Boston, MA - The University of Maine women's track and field team competes in day one at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
The Black Bears led in the weight throw with Cheyenne Figueroa placing second and Mackenzie Wilson earning fourth. Figueroa earned a new PR with a mark of 18.79m and Wilson threw for 18.20m.
Yasmen Farag had a strong showing in the pole vault earning eighth place (12.18m).
Two more Black Bears earned spots in the top twenty in their respective events. In the shot put, Stella Inman earned a mark of 12.18m placing twelfth. Emma White placed eighteenth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.09m.
In the 60hh Erika Lawson placed thirty first with a time of 9.80. Tegan Morrison also had a strong performance for Maine in the 1000 run placing eighty second with a time of 3:09.68.
