KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Abby Kraemer and
Myla Schneider have been named NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Scholar All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches, as announced on Friday by the organization.

Kraemer was named to the first team while Schneider earned a spot on the third team. This is the first Academic All-American award for both Kraemer and Schneider, who were also named to the All-East Region Scholar All-America First Team.

A biochemistry major with a 3.85 GPA, Kraemer became the program's first-ever All-American earlier this month. The Waterloo, Ontario native was named the America East Striker of the Year and received America East All-Conference First Team honors after leading the league in points (30), points per game (1.76), goals (13), goals per game (0.72), game-winning goals (6), shots (68) and shots per game (3.78). She continually ranked in the top 15 in the nation in those same categories throughout the season.

Schneider, a biology major with a 3.96 GPA, led the Black Bears in minutes played for much of the season en route to America East All-Conference First Team honors. The Calgary, Alberta native started all 19 contests and played at least 90 minutes in 15 of them. The defender was a crucial part of a Black Bears' defense that limited opponents to 1.05 goals against.
In November, both Schneider and Kraemer were named to the NCAA Division I 2023 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team and both earned America East All-Academic Team honors in October.
