Black Bears Battle #1 Eagles to 2-2 Tie

Maine earns four Hockey East points on the weekend.

ORONO, Maine – The #13 University of Maine men's hockey team battled #1 Boston College to a 2-2 tie on Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Alfond Arena.
 
Maine took a 1-0 lead for the second night in a row, with Felix Trudea scoring his first goal of the season late in the first period. BC had the lone goal of the second period. A Josh Nadeau power-play goal put Maine back up by one midway through the third but BC equalized four minutes later.
 
Neither team found the back of the net in the five-minute overtime and Boston College won the shootout for an extra Hockey East point.
