HAMDEN, Conn. – The University of Maine men's hockey team fell to the fifth-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats, 4-1, on Saturday night at M&T Bank Arena.

Maine took a 1-0 lead at the 12:47 mark of the first period with
David Breazeale firing home a one-timer from the point. Quinnipiac responded 70 seconds later for a 1-1 game at the first intermission.
The hosts then scored twice in the middle frame and then in the third period killed off a major penalty before adding an empty-net goal for a 4-1 final and a weekend split.
