HISTORY:

This will be the 202 meeting between these two programs, with Maine holding the all-time margin at 123-78. These two teams split the season series a season ago with each side grabbing a win.

ABOUT THE BLACK BEARS:

Maine is coming off of a loss against NJIT on Sunday, 83-91.

Gedi Juozapaitis had a career day in the losing effort for the Black Bears as he dropped a career-high 26 points on 10 of 17 shooting, including six three pointers.

Kellen Tynes turned in a double-double performance against the Highlanders, as he tied his career-high with 24 points, he had 10 rebounds, dished out five assists, swiped four steals and had a block.

Juozapaitis has been one of the most dangerous three-point shooters in the country after the first half of the season. His 44.2% from beyond the arc is the highest 3-point shooting % in the country by a European born player in the NCAA (minimum 3.0 per game).

Kellen Tynes continued his dominance on the defensive end of the floor as he added four steals to his already conference-leading total that has now climbed to 46. He trails only Malique Jacobs of Kent State for the most steals in the country, who sits at 48.

Tynes's 3.07 steals per game ranks him second in the country. Tynes is on pace to break the all-time UMaine record for steals per game, set back in 1991-92 by Marty Higgins (3.0).

The Black Bears remain near the top of the conference leader boards in some key stats on the season. They lead the America East in steals per game at 9.6 per contest. They are also ranked second in two key categories, those being: turnover margin (1.5) and field goal% (46.5)

ABOUT THE WILDCATS:

The Wildcats are coming off of a big win against the Vermont Catamounts back on Sunday, Jan. 8, 67-60.

Nick Johnson and Matt Herasme turned in some big performances for New Hampshire, as they both scored 16 points as they played every minute of the contest. Johnson had a huge double-double on the night as well, grabbing 16 boards to go with his 16 points.

Clarence Daniels has been leading the Wildcats throughout the first half of the season in both scoring and on the boards as he is averaging a double-double through 15 games at 15.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest.

Nick Johnson (13.1) and Kyree Brown (10.1) round out the top-three scorers for the Wildcats on a nightly basis.
