WEST HARTFORD, CT – The University of Maine baseball team dropped the series final against Hartford, 7-2.

Third Inning:
Jordan Schulefand scored the opening run of the game as he stole second and third and then scored on a wild pitch.
Joe Bramanti made it 2-0 as he grounded out to second, scoring
Quinn McDaniel.

Donnie Cohoon tied the game up at 2-2 as he hit a 2-run home run to right field, scoring Devin Kellogg. Derek Tenney grabbed the lead for Hartford as he hit a solo home run to left field.

Julien Guroux-Harvey's day came to an end after 3 innings of work, as he allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on no hits, 2 walks, 3 hit batters and striking out 3.

Fifth Inning: Derek Tenney added a run for the Hawks as he hit a double to left field, scoring Kevin Koziol.

Brett Erwin's day came to an end during the 5
th inning as he went 4 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 4 hits, 3 walks and striking out 3.

Eighth Inning: Daniel Burnett made it a 6-2 game as he hit a 2-run triple to center field, scoring Tremayne Coob Jr. and Ben Maycock. Noah Rivera would add another run as he singled to center field, scoring Burnett.

Nick Gatton (1-2) picked up the win in relief for Hartford as he pitched 3 shutout innings in relief, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks.

Brett Erwin (2-5) took the loss for the Black Bears.
