ORONO, ME – The University of Maine baseball dropped the final contest of the weekend series against UAlbany, 10-5 Sunday afternoon.

First Inning: Scout Knotts got the Black Bears on the board as he hit a sac-fly to shortstop, scoring Jordan Schulefand on the play.

Third Inning: John Daly got the Great Danes on the board as he hit a double down the left field line, scoring Will Binder on the play. Brad Malm got his squad the lead as he hit a sac-fly left field, scoring John Daly on the play.

Brett Erwin's day came to an end after 4 innings of work as he allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, 1 walk and striking out 4.

Fifth Inning: Brad Malm made it 4-1 Great Danes as he hit a 2-run double to right center, scoring John Daly and Johnny Marti. Will Feil added on as he hit a double to left field, scoring Brad Malm.

Jordan Schulefand would answer back for the Black Bears as he hit a 2-run home run to left center, scoring Jake Marquez on the play.

Sixth Inning: Will Binder hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth to get the Great Danes to a 6-3 lead.

Connor Eisenmann's day came to an end after 6 innings of work, as he allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, 4 walks and 3 strikeouts.

Seventh Inning: Brad Malm hit a solo home run in the seventh to increase the UAlbany lead to 7-3.

Jordan Schulefand hit his second home run of the contest as he hit a solo home run to right center, making it a 7-4 contest.

Eighth Inning: John Daly broke it open in the top of the frame as he hit a 3-run home run to left center, scoring Johnny Marti and Will Binder.

Scout Knotts got one back for the Black Bears as he hit a solo home run to left field, making it a 10-5 game.

Connor Eisenmann (6-2) picked up the win for the Great Danes.

Nicholas Jessen (1) picks up the 3-inning save for UAlbany, allowing 2 earned runs on 2 hits, 1 walk and striking out 1.

Brett Erwin (2-4) took the loss for the Black Bears.

Maine, who drops to 21-6 in America East play, heads on the road for a 4-game road trip with a one game stop at Boston College before wrapping up the regular season at Hartford for a 3-game series.
