The Series
Last season were the first two meetings between the Black Bears and LIU and Maine's record is 2-0. These games include 4-2 and 3-2 victories over the Sharks.
Black Bears Notes and Notables

Maine is coming off of a 2-0 weekend against the University of New Hampshire.

Grace Heiting is coming off a weekend with two goals and one assist. She earned one goal on Oct. 7 and the other goal and assist in the Oct. 8 contest.

Lilli Welcke scored her first collegiate goal on Oct. 8. She also recorded an assist in the game.

Jorden Mattison earned the 3-2 Oct. 7 victory and had 16 saves in the contest.

Maine recorded their first shutout of the year in the 4-0 Oct. 8 victory over the Wildcats. Freshman Brooklyn Oakes earned the shutout in her first collegiate game and recorded 23 saves.
A Bit About LIU

The Sharks are coming off their first win of the season 4-3 against Sacred Heart on Oct. 7 .

Carrigan Umpherville was one goal scorer in last week's victory as well as the team's third leader in points last season (26).

Journey Miller was another returner who also scored in last week's matchup against Sacred Heart. She ended last season with four goals and six assists.
