BOSTON, Mass. - The America East Conference announced on Wednesday that UMaine Cross Country runner Sam Mills was named the America East Performer of the Week for his performance at the Battle of Beantown on Sept. 24.

Mills, a Junior out of Biddeford, Maine, led all America East male athletes with a finish of 34th in the meet and with a time of 25:03. This is Mills first weekly award of the 2021 season.

Mills and the rest of the Black Bears will next be competing at the New England Championships on Saturday, October 9th. That meet will take place at Franklin Park in Mass.
