HANOVER, N.H. - The University of Maine men's and women's cross country competed at the Sanchez Souther Invitational against Dartmouth, Army, Suny Genesco and the Towson women.
For the Men, Maine was lead by a trio of top 8 finishes by Samuel Mills,
Luke Marsanskis and
Alec Troxell. Mills led the charge for the Black Bears with a fourth place, 25:32.9 showing in the 8K race. Marsanskis finished one place behind his teammate Mills with a time of 25:35.0 for a fifth in the meet. Troxell rounded out the strong showing from the trio with an eighth at a time of 25:49.9.
For the Women, they were led by
Lydia Gilmore whose day concluded with a 12th place in the 6K meet at a time of 23:27.4.
Rachel Hodge (24:47.3) and
Amelia Concannon (24:49.6) took 25th and 26th in the meet.
For the men, they took 3rd with a total score of 54, while the women took 4th with a total score of 100.
Both teams will next be heading to Durham, N.H. for their contest against the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, Sept 18.
