Anne Simon led Maine with 10 points and seven rebounds in a 57-33 loss to Drexel on Saturday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Center.
Simon, who finished in double-figures for the seventh time this season, was Maine's lone double-digit scorer.
Maeve Carroll added eight points and 12 rebounds, her 16th double-digit rebounding performance of her carer, in the loss while
Adrianna Smith added six points and five boards off the bench.
Maine, which entered the contest as one of the nation's best in turnovers per game, limited itself to just nine giveaways on the day.
The Black Bears had several open looks but could not get their shots to fall, finishing teh game 13-of-54 (24.1) from the field including a 1-for-21 showing from downtown.
Drexel was led by Keishana Washington's game-high 25 points as the Dragons shot 44.4 percent from the floor.
Maine trailed by three late in the first before Drexel reeled off a 22-4 run, stretching the lead out to 21 with 1:33 left in the first half.
A bucket late in the first half from
Olivia Rockwood and one to start the second from Carroll trimmed the deficit to 17. However, it would be as close as Maine would get.
A 7-0 run from Drexel extended the lead to 24 as the Dragons would cruise to the 57-33 victory.
