Loryn Porter Named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week

WAKEFIELD, MA. - The Hockey East Association announced on Monday that University of Maine goaltender, Loryn Porter, was named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Week for her performances against Providence and Boston University.
Porter, a graduate student out of North Bay, Ontario native was named the Goaltender of the Week after she stopped 63 of 66 shots faced in a weekend in which the Black Bears defeated the Boston University Terriers, 5-1, and the Providence College Friars, 3-2.
Porter gathered in 22 saves in Friday's contest against Boston University, while racking up 41 saves against Providence College. This is her first weekly award of the 2021-22 season.
Porter and the rest of the Black Bears will be facing off against Clarkson on Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27.
