Men's Basketball returns to the Cross Center to take on UAlbany

BANGOR, Maine - The University of Maine men's basketball team returns to the Cross Insurance Center for the first time since January 22nd on Sunday afternoon, as they'll host the UAlbany Great Danes at 1:00 PM in another crucial America East tilt.

Maine and UAlbany last matched up on January 11th in New York, with the Danes taking a 76-70 victory despite a career-high 26 points from Maine junior Nedeljko Prijovic

MAINE LEADERS

Andrew Fleming, who has registered double-digit scoring totals in 18 of his 24 appearances, guides the Black Bears, ranking ninth in the America East with 15.1 points per game to go along with a team-high 6.3 rebounds. Sergio El Darwich joins Fleming in double-figures, adding 14.3 points (10th in AE) and 5.1 rebounds, and sits fourth in the conference with 3.9 assists a game and second in the America East with 1.7 steals a game. Steph Ingo ranks fourth in the conference with 1.2 blocks a game.


A LOOK AT THE DANES

Will Brown enters his 19th season overall as the University at Albany's men's basketball head coach, after spending one season in an interim capacity. Brown, the longest tenured coach in the America East Conference, has led the program to five conference championships.

Ahmad Clark leads the UAlbany offense with 16.0 points per game, sixth most in the conference, and also sits fifth in the conference with 3.8 assists a game. His co-conspirator is Cameron Healy, who ranks seventh in the conference with 15.9 points per game on a 37.7% mark from three, second best in the conference.
