River Hawks pull away from the Black Bears

LOWELL, Mass. - The University of Maine men's basketball team fell to UMass-Lowell on Wednesday night at the Tsongas Center, as the River Hawks pulled away late to earn the season split with the Black Bears by a 71-63 final score.

The game was tightly contested for thirty minutes, but the Maine offense went cold for the final ten minutes of this one, posting a 1-10 mark from three in the final ten minutes and a 1-8 mark from the field in the final five minutes to let this one slip away.

MAINE GAME NOTES

  • His co-captain Andrew Fleming just missed out on his 13th career double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
  • Freshman Ja'Shonté Wright-McLeish tied a career-high with eight points in his third career start. Redshirt freshman Stephane Ingo provided eight points and four rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench.
