Track and Field Adds Woodbury As Assistant Coach

ORONO, MaineBrian Woodbury has been named an assistant coach on the University of Maine track and field staff. It was announced by head coach Mark Lech. Woodbury joins the Black Bears after serving as a coach for 10 years in the high school ranks and competing in track and field at the University of Maine.
 
Woodbury founded SlingSHOT Throws in 2017, where he has coached a New Balance Indoor National Champion in the shot put, a New Balance Indoor All-American, state record holders in Maine (weight throw and hammer), New Hampshire (discus), Massachusetts (shot put), and North Carolina (shot put), as well as the Indoor and Outdoor New England Championship record holders in the boy's shot put.

Woodbury is a certified USATF Level 1 & 2 throws coach, and is a certified USTFCCCA Throws Specialist. He currently resides in Scarborough, Maine with his wife Tanya Wilkes.
