LAST TIME OUT

Maine dropped their first America East conference road game of the season on Wednesday night, as the UNH Wildcats handed the Black Bears a 57-51 loss in Durham. A 15-4 run between the 12:41 and 6:04 mark of the second half brought the Black Bears all the way back to within three of the Wildcats after being down by as many as 14. UNH got their defensive act together in the final two minutes, however, holding Maine to just three points while scoring seven of their own to lock up the 57-51 victory.

Andrew Fleming once again led the Black Bears offensively with 14 points on the night alongside four rebounds, a block, and a steal. He went 3-6 from three, his best performance from deep so far this season. Sergio El Darwich put together a solid effort with 11 points, three assists, and a steal. Peter Stumer saw his second start of his freshman campaign and poured in seven points, all in the first half.

Maine rediscovered their ability to get to the free-throw line, going 12-19 on the night while only giving the Wildcats six free throws on the evening. They've now had 15 or more free throw attempts in three of their last five contests.

MAINE LEADERS

Andrew Fleming, who has registered double-digit scoring totals in 12 of Maine's first 16 games, guides the Black Bears, ranking sixth in the America East with 15.8 points per game to go along with a team-high 6.1 rebounds. El Darwich joins Fleming in double-figures, adding 11.2 points and 4.8 rebounds, and sits fifth in the conference with 3.5 assists a game and second in the America East with 1.7 steals a game. Steph Ingo ranks sixth in the conference with 1.0 blocks a game.

A LOOK AT UALBANY

The Great Danes have broke even at 8-8 so far this season, including a 1-0 mark in America East play after a 74-62 victory over Binghamton on the 4th. Albany lost to Quinnipiac earlier in the season by an 86-69 final score on the road, and defeated Columbia on the 30th by a 67-66 final to round out their common opponents for the year.

Cameron Healy and Ahmad Clark are tied for the team lead with 15.7 points per game, tied for seventh-best in the conference. Healy leads the conference in free-throw percentage with a blistering 90.4% mark, while Clark ranks fourth at 77.1% while sitting at fourth in the conference in assists per game with 3.9. As a team, Albany ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage at 42.8% and free throws made (209), but sit in the middle of the conference in most other statistical categories.

Will Brown enters his 19th season overall as the University at Albany's men's basketball head coach, after spending one season in an interim capacity. Brown, the longest-tenured coach in the America East Conference, has led the program to five conference championships.
