DURHAM, New Hampshire—The Black Bears women's track and field team kicked off the outdoor season at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, taking a second place finish with 184 points.

Freshman
Jessica Kroushll took fourth in the 100 meter dash at 12.61, before taking third in the 200 meter dash at 26.49.
Anna Schumann finished second in the 200 meter dash at 26.24 behind her.

Katherine Cowan had a strong meet, finishing at 26.54 for fourth in the 200 meter dash. She earned another top five finish with a 15.41 time in the 100 meter hurdles good for third, before closing the day with a second place finish in the high jump, hitting a 1.52 meter mark.

Continuing the strong finishes on the track,
Samantha Sudol took third in the 400 meter dash at 1:00.18, with
Alexis Dietrich finishing behind her at 1:00.54 to take fourth.
Brittany Torchia's second place finish in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:05.97.

Four Black Bears earned top-ten finishes in the 800 meter run, with the top finish going to
Kaylee Porter in second at 2:20.99.
Tiffany Tanner finished in fourth at 2:23.42, before Elisabeth Redwook finished in seventh at 2:25.74 and
Haley Michienzi at 2:26.00 for eighth.

In the 3000 meter run,
Emma Jourdain earned Maine's best finish in the event at 10:58.82, with Sarah Drummond finishing behind her at 10:59.41 to take fourth.

The Black Bears were also strong in field events, with
Caitlin Sardelis and
Elena Ueland finishing the high jump with 1.52 meter marks.
Vasiliqi Turlla earned sixth place in the event with her 1.47 meter jump.

In the pole vault,
Taylor Lenentine took first place with 3.12 meter mark, with
Oliviah Damboise finishing behind her at 2.97 meters.
Mikaella Sansoucie rounded out the Maine vaulters with a 2.67 finish for fourth.

Lucia Guarnieri took second in the triple jump with a best of 10.76 meters, joining her 4.83 meter long jump finish for eighth. Olivia Damboise matched her long jump mark at 10.76 to finish third in the event.

Sarah Vancore earned first in the hammer throw at 45.91 meters, took fourth in the shot put at 11.04 meters before taking sixth in the discus throw at 33.68 meters.

The Black Bears compete again this weekend at the Northeast Combined Events Challenge in New Haven Connecticut, running Thursday through Saturday. Select runners will head to the Ocean State Invitational in Providence, Rhode Island on Friday and Saturday.
