New Britain, CT -- The University of Maine women placed eighth out of 19 teams at the 2019 Ted Owen Invitational, hosted by Central Connecticut State University.

Freshman Mackenzie Young led the charge for the Black Bears with a 22nd place finish out of the 207 competitor field, crossing the line at 19:24.2. Kristina Littlehales placed 43rd at 19:52.8 while Emma Jourdain finished 56th with a final time of 20:21.5.

The Black Bears are back in action on Oct. 12 when they travel to Franklin Park in Boston for the New England Championships.
