ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's cross country team placed 20th at the New England Championships with 552 points on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The Black Bears finished with a total time of 1:41.50 and an average finishing time of 20:22.

Individually, Mackenzie Young was the top performer for the Black Bears, placing 87th with a time of 19:46.5. Emma Jourdain placed 106th, crossing the line at 20:06.7.

Maine is back in action on Nov. 2 when it travels to Albany, N.Y. for the America East Championships.
